NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two months after a woman filed a complaint against North Abaco Member of Parliament Kirk Cornish, Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander reaffirmed the probe isn’t taking too long, and that officials aren’t dragging their feet on the matter.

Cornish turned himself in for questioning by police in Grand Bahama back in April, accompanied by his lawyer.

Since then, the alleged victim is now being represented by Attorney Bjorn Ferguson.
Cornish is accused of sexual assault.

Fernander says the investigation is not being treated any differently from others.
