NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A constable accused of misusing his position to solicit sex from a woman has been ordered to stand trial.

Constable Shaquille Williamson will be arraigned in the Supreme Court on a charge of attempted procuration next week.

Prosecutors allege that Williamson was on patrol alone on July 5 when he came across a couple parked on a beach.

A name-check revealed that the 32-year-old woman had two outstanding warrants. That’s when Officer Williamson allegedly told the woman that she could avoid arrest if she had sex with him.
