NASSAU, BAHAMAS – IHOP’s first Bahamian location opened its doors this morning, and people were so excited, that over 100 of them spent the entire night camped outside.

IHOP promised weekly free pancakes for a year to the first 100 customers, resulting in the the line wrapping around the building by 8am this morning, two hours before the official opening time.

Some IHOP hopefuls were so organized that they came with their own tracking system for the line.

Shari Saunders arrived at 4am this morning, but even at that early hour, she was already number 97 in the line.

She says although the wait was long, the atmosphere was full of fun.

The Mortimers were the first ones lined up camping out from 7pm on Thursday, and their motivation for spending the night outdoors is a special one.
