NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Inter-Americas Commission of Women is working on a new documentary, titled “Breaking The Mold”, exploring the history of women’s political leadership in the Americas.

Our very own Dame Janet Bostwick was selected as one of these influential women to be featured.

Organization of American States Bahamas Representative is Phyllis Baron.

The documentary features women like the former president of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla; former President of Chile Michelle Bachelet and other women who have acted as trailblazers for women in politics in the Americas.

She says with all of her accomplishments and influence, Dame Janet was an obvious choice having been the first woman to serve in a number of major roles in political leadership in the country
