NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A dance school is asking for sponsors and donations to help ten dancers leap onto the international stage.

Jhanae Winter gives us more on this story.

Sixty-thousand-dollars is the estimated cost for ten dancers from W² Dance Club to attend the renowned Debbie Allen Dance Summer Program. The dancers were accepted to the elite academy in April.

Dance Coach Whitley Albury-Sterling wants to give her dancers the opportunity and exposure to train under Debbie Allen.

W² dancers are already decorated, with awards from the National Arts Festival.

Dancer Bryannah Ingraham virtually attended the summer program last year and believes her team has what it takes.

W² is a non-profit organization, funding all of the dancers which Coach Sterling says is rare in the dance world. That’s why she says sponsors play such a key role.

For those who may want to donate and sponsor in other ways here’s how you can help.
