The Memphis Infielder’s Hot Streak Continues

Memphis, TN, USA. University of Memphis infielder Daunte Stuart’s hot-hitting season continues.

The 2nd baseman smacked a clutch three-run shot on Sunday afternoon to put the Tigers up 5-4 over the University of Texas San Antonio Roadrunners with two outs in the bottom of the 5th inning scoring Austin Baskin and Will Marcy.

Unfortunately for Stuart, the Roadrunners would hit solo homers of their own in the 6th and 7th inning to get the 7-5 win over the Tigers, winning their weekend series two games to one.

The home run was his 5th of the season and he currently leads the team with 46 hits, 80 total bases, and a .957 OPS and he is tied for second in RBI with 28.

Stuart is one of the best players on a Memphis team that is sixth in the American Athletic Conference with an 18-19 record. They also went 6-6 in their conference schedule. Despite his team’s up-and-down performance in the win column, don’t expect his bat to cool off anytime soon.
