DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – A national tragedy in the Dominican Republic, as at least 124 people are dead and over 150 injured after the roof collapsed at a packed nightclub in Santo Domingo early Tuesday morning.

Emergency officials say hundreds were inside Jet Set Club when it caved in during a live concert by Merengue legend Rubby Pérez.

He’s among those confirmed dead, along with former MLB pitcher Octavio Dotel and Governor Nelsy Cruz.

Emergency Chief Juan Manuel Méndez says crews have 24 to 36 hours left to find survivors.

President Luis Abinader has declared three days of mourning.
