NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The South Street Magistrates Court Complex is under heavy police guard as officers await the arrival of Sam Bankman-Fried, former CEO of FTX, who was arrested in The Bahamas Monday.

Our News understands several United States officials are already inside the courtroom, waiting for the proceedings to begin.

Bankman-Fried was arrested by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Monday.

The statement from the Office of the Attorney General indicated, “SBF’s arrest followed receipt of formal notification from the United States that it has filed criminal charges against SBF and is likely to request his extradition.”
