ST. KITTS & NEVIS – Dominican boat captain Danny Henry was on Thursday sentenced to one year in prison for his role in bringing several Haitian nationals to Nevis recently.

Henry received a six months prison term for entering a port that is not a formal port and 12 months imprisonment for entering St. Kitts and Nevis without the consent of an immigration officer.

He is also required to pay nearly $2,000 in six months on customs charges or face another six months in prison.
