DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – Dominican President Luis Abinader announcing a crackdown on Haitian gangs Thursday, declaring them “terrorist organizations” amid escalating violence in Haiti.

Abinader, who has taken a hardline stance on border security, says any gang member who enters the Dominican Republic will be pursued, arrested, and tried under anti-terror laws.

This comes as the United Nations reports over 5,600 murders in Haiti last year, with the Dominican President blaming the “Inability” of the international community to address the crisis.
