NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper is speaking out and says despite two devastating events – Hurricane Dorian and COVID-19 – Grand Bahama is on the rebound.

Cooper says Grand Bahama is the fastest-growing island for stop-over visitors at this time adding that this sends a signal that Grand Bahama is coming back strong.

But the question many have asked is where will these visitors stay?  This as many hotel properties closed their doors on the island over the last two decades.

Now the tourism minister has been tight-lipped lately on the sale of the Grand Lucayan resort. He had this explanation as to why he has decided to take this approach.
