DPM Tight-Lipped On Abaco Brawl

ABACO, BAHAMAS – A viral video circulating on social media shows what appears to be a brawl between tourists and residents in Abaco. The tourism minister said very little on the issue. However, he is concerned about protecting our number one industry.

ABACO, BAHAMAS – A viral video circulating on social media shows what appears to be a brawl between tourists and residents in Abaco.

Individuals can be seen exchanging blows and body-slamming each other as onlookers tried to stop the fight.

A police report says there were separate incidents at the resort on Guana Cay, the first resulting in three men being treated for injuries and two Floridians being arrested.

The second incident involved a Bahamian golf cart operator and a patron from Florida involved in a disagreement turned physical which saw multiple individuals being arrested.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper said very little on the issue. However, he is concerned about protecting our number one industry.
