NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Deputy Prime Minister who is responsible for aviation continuing to defend the country’s right to manage and charge for the use of Bahamian airspace.

This after eight U.S airlines filed joint complaints to the U.S. Department of Transportation, citing unjust, discriminatory, anticompetitive, and unreasonable airspace charges by The Bahamas.

Cooper says a formal response was sent on Wednesday as officials continue to work through diplomatic channels to ensure clarity in agreements between The Bahamas and the USA.
