LAS VEGAS, U.S.A. – VJ Edgecombe continued to turn heads in the NBA 2K25 Summer League with a strong performance Tuesday night in Las Vegas.

He finished with 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 74-58 win over the Washington Wizards.

It was Edgecombe’s first summer league game in Las Vegas, and first since his debut in Salt Lake City, when  he announced his arrival as a pro.

In that opening game against the Utah Jazz, he exploded for 28 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and a steal in just 30 minutes.

Against the Wizards, Edgecombe picked up right where he left off with a complete effort on both ends of the floor.

The 76ers Summer League continues tonight against the Dallas Mavericks.

MLB

Jazz Chisholm Jr. made his second MLB All-Star Game appearance and it turned out to be a historic finish for the mid-summer classic.

Chisholm’s American League rallied from a six-run deficit to force the first-ever All-Star game swing-off, which the National League ultimately won.

In the sixth inning, Chisholm lined out to center in his first at bat, he returned in the seventh inning and led off with a chopper to first and reached safely after a fielding error.

In his third at-bat in the ninth, Chisholm lined a rocket down the right field line for an out, but it moved a runner to third and set the stage for the game-tying RBI.

Now that the festivities are done – the Yankees return to regular season action on Friday, July 18, with a three-game road series against the Atlanta Braves.
