On Tuesday nights, the Jon Batiste Jazz Club at Baha Mar comes alive with the sultry voices of Akia Knowles, Charisa Smith, and Danielle Lee.

Supported by The Encore band, this showcase is titled Divas and is produced by Akia Knowles.

She said that it serves as a tribute to iconic women in the music industry.

“The whole concept was that I wanted to celebrate the women who contributed to the music we enjoy today and I wanted to do it with a sisterhood ”

The performance features timeless hits from artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, and others.

For almost two hours, the women are charged with maintaining the audience’s interest.

A task that smith and lee say they overcome effortlessly thanks to their charm and charisma.

Nishie told us her performance will display her versatility as an artist.
