UNITED STATES – Newly released emails from Jeffrey Epstein are raising fresh questions in Washington tonight after House Democrats made public messages in which Epstein claimed Donald Trump “knew about the girls.”

What he meant — or whether it referred to any crimes — remains unclear.

The White House is accusing Democrats of selectively leaking the emails to smear the president. Republicans, meanwhile, say the woman referenced in the messages was Virginia Giuffre — who for years maintained Trump never harmed her and “couldn’t have been friendlier.”

The emails come from roughly twenty-three thousand documents provided by Epstein’s estate, as both parties continue to battle over what they show — and what they don’t.
