LONDON, ENGLAND – The Ministry of Tourism’s Global Sales Mission hosted its first UK mission on Thursday evening.

Valery Brown-Alce – Deputy Director General, Tourism
“Exclusive Bahamas events, positioning it in an important market like London is the top of the charts from where we sit right now.”

This UK market represents an opportunity to build on a strong foundation in an established market, which still has huge growth potential.

Maria Grazia Mario – General Manager, Tourism
“Europeans love The Bahamas. They love the authenticity of the place, the beautiful beach, they also love the Bahamians, the friendly people, the welcome they get, the culture and the experience, so our role as Ministry of Tourism is to develop tourism to our islands from different points.”

This event provided an immersive experience and a gateway to possibilities.

Melissa Bulter – Area Manager, Tourism
“The United Kingdom and Europe in general is key for The Bahamas. Yes, we know that the main market is the US and then Canada. But one of the unique things about the UK and Europe overall is the length of time the visitor stays in the destination is normally longer, from 8 days right on up. That’s the type of visitor we want in the destination.”
