EUROPE – European leaders joined President Donald Trump in Washington on Monday, calling for a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war.

The heads of Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Finland, and the EU stood alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and NATO’s Secretary-General.

Trump emphasized the need for a swift end to what is now Europe’s deadliest conflict in 80 years, but Kyiv and its allies remain wary that he could push for terms favorable to Moscow, especially following his recent red-carpet reception for Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Putin continues to face war crimes charges from the International Criminal Court.
