KYIV, UKRAINE – Explosions lit up the skies over Kyiv as Russia launched another round of drone and missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital.

Air-raid sirens sounded for hours while air-defense teams worked to intercept the incoming weapons. Several blasts were reported across multiple districts, sparking fires and damaging homes and power lines.

Ukrainian officials say at least six people were killed and more than a dozen injured. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Russia also fired hundreds of drones across the region, with some crossing into Moldova and Romania.

He’s again calling on international partners for more air-defense support, warning the attacks are targeting critical energy infrastructure as winter approaches.
