Family Makes Tough Decision Not To Retrieve Body from Blue Hole
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Fifty-year-old Douglas McHardy drowned on Saturday, august 14, while swimming at a location loved by his family, Dean’s Blue Hole.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Fifty-year-old Douglas McHardy drowned on Saturday, august 14, while swimming at a location loved by his family, Dean’s Blue Hole.
It happened the same day he attended a family member’s funeral.
When we last checked in with officials on the island, McHardy’s body was still too deep to retrieve, requiring the intervention of expert divers.
A risk his daughter, Nakita Headley, says the family is unwilling to take.
The family is now preparing for the next steps as they cope with their profound loss.
Until then, they are now planning on how best to honor their beloved family member.
