UNITED STATES – The Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall of nearly 84,000 bags of frozen raw shrimp, over possible exposure to a radioactive isotope.

UNITED STATES – The Food and Drug Administration has announced a recall of nearly 84,000 bags of frozen raw shrimp, over possible exposure to a radioactive isotope.

The shrimp, which the FDA says was imported from Indonesia and distributed by direct source Seafood LLC, Was sold under the Market 32 and Waterfront Bistro brands at major supermarkets across multiple U.S. states.

The FDA says consumers should not eat the product and should return it for a full refund.

Officials say no illnesses have been reported and no contaminated product is believed to have reached the U.S. marketplace.
