Fire Destroys Building on Private Exuma Cay
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Initial reports indicated that shortly before 8pm on Monday, officers were notified of the blaze on Over Yonder Cay.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Photos and videos of a massive blaze in the Exumas reaching our newsroom, of a structural fire at Over Yonder Cay.
There were no reported casualties.
Initial reports indicated that shortly before 8pm on Monday, officers were notified of the blaze which has reportedly destroyed the engineering building.
A team of officers from George Town, Exuma along with officers from the Fire Services Investigation Unit, New Providence will conduct investigations.
The cay is located six miles north of Staniel Cay, Exuma.
Now Our News understands that police from New Providence as well as Exuma’s island administrator were headed to the cay today to conduct their own assessment and investigations.
We also understand that no Bahamians reside on the cay.
