First CARIFTA Swim Team Practice in the Books

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – At the crack of dawn Saturday morning – at 7am to be exact – practice got underway for the country’s swim team set to compete in the CARIFTA Games in Curacao next month.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – At the crack of dawn Saturday morning – at 7am to be exact – practice got underway for the country’s swim team set to compete in the CARIFTA Games in Curacao next month.

They’re the fourth consecutive champions for CARIFTA and the plan is to add another winning title.

The majority of the 39-member swim team gathered at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatics Center for their first practice together since officially being named to the team on March 5.

By the time time Our News got there just after 9:30am, practice was in full swing.

First time CARIFTA swim team members DNDN McKenzie and Layla Saidi spoke with us about the experience and training so far.

Some of veterans on the team spoke with us about how the first practice went.
