NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Fishermen in Trinidad and Tobago say their livelihoods, and their lives,  are under threat.

This, as U.S. military strikes on suspected drug vessels spark fears they could be caught in the crossfire.

Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump declared America is in an “armed conflict” with drug cartels in the Caribbean.

At the United Nations, Caribbean leaders like Barbados’ Mia Mottley and St. Vincent’s Ralph Gonsalves have pleaded for dialogue, calling the region a zone of peace.
