NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Our “For The Love of Brunch” series has returned for another season.

To commence this installment, we feature a restaurant that many would regard as one concealed in plain sight.

The Balmoral Club presents a brunch menu that, in my assessment, seamlessly delivers a diverse, distinctive, and flavorful dining experience.

“No bro I ain’t ga lie I ain’t know if I giving you this dawg.” – Denielle Miller

This was my genuine reaction after tasting The Balmoral Club’s loaded french toast during their weekend brunch.

Packed with guava, this was a savory, tasty spin on the breakfast classic–even for someone like me who typically avoids guava.

Membership and Marketing Manager for The Balmoral Club, Lynnae fFowler explained that their menu is thoughtfully designed to appeal to a diverse range of diners.

“So we have a classics like our stew conch boil fish that our patrons have known and love for quiet sometime. We also have the addition of the loaded Guava French toast and we also have the classic chicken and waffle for kids”

The menu showcases an impressive selection, including guacamole bruschetta, asian bbq ribs, and mimosas.

Dishes that my cameraman and I personally sampled and can enthusiastically vouch, were absolutely delicious on this particular day.

I should mention that brunch service takes place outdoors, and the porch is equipped with fans to ensure you stay comfortably cool.

Fowler shared that this dining option was launched during the covid era as a solution to the dining restrictions that were in place at the time.

“People were locked down they didn’t have a lot of avenues a lot of outlets so we decided to offer that during the lock down curfew window.”

She explains that it served as a perfect escape for families during those moments, and even after the restrictions lifted, the public’s response has remained positive.

Fowler now reflects that, years on, the experience has transformed into something far more distinctive than just the food itself.

“For our first activation we will be bringing back a themed brunches with a halloween brunch which I’m really excited about. Patrons are invited to wear their costumes and just come in and enjoy a really good time with music food libations the works “
