NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Chief Superintendent of Police Michael Johnson, attorney Bjorn Ferguson, and police sergeant, Deangelo Rolle are heading to the Supreme Court to face trial in connection to a corruption probe sparked by leaked phone recordings last year.

Johnson, Ferguson and Rolle were formally committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court when they received voluntary bill of indictment papers at a brief appearance before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

The men are due to appear before Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson for arraignment on February 21.

Johnson, the former head of CID, faces charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, stealing, receiving, and accessory after the fact.

It is alleged that between November 6 and 15, 2023, Johnson conspired to solicit a bribe from wanted man Michael Fox Jr, and stole and received $90,000 linked to a $1.475 million armored car heist.

He is also accused of enabling Fox Jr. to avoid due process.

Ferguson, who was Fox’s lawyer, is charged with accessory after the fact, while Rolle is accused of abetting Johnson with the theft
