USA – United States President Joe Biden receiving a letter from 18 former Latin American and Caribbean leaders asking him to remove the six-decade embargo on Cuba.

It is in response to the devastation from hurricane Ian.

Biden is also being asked to remove Cuba from its list of states sponsoring terrorism.

The letter comes as Cuba is suffering it’s the worst economic, political and energy crises of the century spurring another exodus from the island.

It was exacerbated by hurricane Ian, which walloped western Cuba before hitting southern Florida last month.

Back in June Prime Minister Philip Davis joined leaders at the Summit of the Americas in raising concern over the exclusion of Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela from those talks.
