GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Santa’s helpers made a special visit to the Rand Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room with a prescription for Christmas cheer.

The waiting area of Grand Bahama’s Grand Memorial Hospital Emergency Room was treated to free hot chocolate, Santa hats, and candy canes this year, but not by Santa Claus.

Cindy Haase, is a Grand Bahama resident and former patient who decided to bring some christmas spirit to the waiting area.

It has been a longstanding family tradition to go out and spread Christmas cheer to people who need it most, Haas tells us.

Patients excitedly accepted the sequined Santa hats, and even patients from inside the hospital expressed interest in the hot chocolate.
