NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The death of Omar Davis Jr. continues to send shockwaves across the country. Friends and sympathizers were vocal on social media and in the Fox Hill community where he lived.

A viral video first endeared the public to Omar Davis Jr. The now 21-year-old high achiever and college graduate was destined for greatness.

Davis was widely recognized following his impactful speech at a Ministry of Education event years ago.

In the Fox Hill community where he lived, there was genuine affection.

Less than 24 hours after the news of Davis’ murder surfaced, emotions ran high.

For resident Roshita Roxbury, his death was a grim reminder of the pain of losing a son to murder – an experience she knew all too well after she experienced it only a few years ago.
