GRAND BAHAMA , BAHAMAS – The third Freeport Fashion Week is officially in the history books, going down as one of the most creative displays thus far.

Now in its third year, the event’s chair says it’s all about inspiring the next generation of designers and creatives.

Crocheted patterns, glittered gowns, Androsian print, and more—models gracing the runway atop a sandy beach at the Stoned Crab Restaurant in Freeport for the third edition of Freeport Fashion Week.

Growing year after year, the event’s chair, Fatima-Zahra Kaboub, said that they’re committed to telling the stories of Freeport’s designers.

This year’s event featured nine designers, up two from last year, but Kaboub said that the week is about more than just designing and selling clothes.

Now, the Grand Bahama Port Authority is a major sponsor of the event, allowing organizers to donate all proceeds to local schools currently with sewing programs or those looking to introduce them.

Kaboub said it’s all about inspiration and thinking big.
