GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A 26-year-old Freeport man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing his friend.

Rosceno Cox was originally charged with murder in the June 29, 2022 fatal stabbing of Ted Cooper Jr.

Cox pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter last October when his trial began before Justice Andrew Forbes.

On the day in question, Cox went to the Tropical Bar and Lounge at the invitation of Cooper’s girlfriend.

Cooper came to the bar later that evening and Cox told him that his girlfriend had invited him there.

Cooper then accused Cox of sleeping with his girlfriend.

That’s when the men got into the deadly fight outside of the bar.
