GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Signs of hope and revival for Grand Bahama, as major investments in that island’s economy are set to come on stream bringing jobs and opportunities for Grand Bahamians.

 



President of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, James Carey, admits the island has been in a depressed state for decades, well before recent hurricanes and the pandemic.

With major investments now on the way, Carey says excitement is in the air.

While Carey says there will be some trickle-down opportunities, entrepreneurs have to think out of the box – on what they are bringing to the.

These latest projects are not expected on stream until earliest 2024.

In the iterim the business community is hoping for smaller investments a lot sooner.

The chamber president is also hoping to see more efficient ways of doing business.
