GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – One man is dead and another is fighting for his life in hospital after a double shooting in Grand Bahama.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – One man is dead and another is fighting for his life in hospital after a double shooting in Grand Bahama.
Officer in charge of Grand Bahama and Northern Bahamas, Assistant Commissioner Shanta Knowles, held a news conference this afternoon to share what police know of the crime so far.
Knowles told the press the man in custody is no stranger to them.
This incident marks the second murder in just a matter of weeks in Grand Bahama, the fourth homicide for the year.
She assures the public the island is still safe.
“We are not asleep on Grand Bahama,” Knowles said, emphasizing that police are actively investigating the incidents and are committed to maintaining safety.
