GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Grand Bahamians now know the date work is set to begin on the Grand Bahama International Airport. The announcement coming from the country’s tourism minister over the weekend in Grand Bahama.

During hurricane Dorian, Grand Bahama’s main airport was destroyed by the monster storm. Since 2019, residents have been calling on government for a new airport and this is the first time that an official date has been publicly announced.

More than 500,000 cruise passengers are projected to visit Grand Bahama this year. Cooper also revealed that people aren’t getting off the ship because there isn’t much to do on the island.
