NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The youngsters of Golden Gates spent the last two weeks at a cultural enrichment and empowerment summer camp where students were able to learn straw work, Junkanoo and earned how to make soaps, and lotions.

We spoke to some of the campers who shared their highlights, take this 11-year-old, who highlighted the food.

Comby from Caribbean Sweat Fitness was also onboard for the summer camp.

Golden Gates Member of Parliament Pia Glover-Rolle says the response from the camp has been amazing as many are asking for the camp to be extended.

She says the intent is for the children to learn something different.
