Goombay Kids Goes Viral With Over 2M Views!

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Goombay Kids, the fully Bahamian made award-winning live action children’s television show, has had a skyrocket in channel engagement on YouTube this month after garnering over 2 million views on a viral video called “Where is your broughtupsy?!” featuring DasQuay interviewing four children that ensues in hilarious commentary.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Goombay Kids, the fully Bahamian made award-winning live action children’s television show, has had a skyrocket in channel engagement on YouTube this month after garnering over 2 million views on a viral video called “Where is your broughtupsy?!” featuring DasQuay interviewing four children that ensues in hilarious commentary.

The release further reads:

‘We experienced a 9200% surge in views since the release of Season 4 on YouTube over the summer,’ said Stephanie Nihon, the show’s creator. This remarkable growth is largely attributed to organic viral views generated by the short video segments which have been showcased across three seasons to date.

The series just celebrated another milestone for the country when it secured a deal with Air Canada and Caribbean Airlines and can now be enjoyed on their in-flight entertainment kids channels.

This acclaimed live action series continues to make waves and captivate young audiences with enchanting island adventures that features the beautiful islands of The Bahamas and vividly portrays historical Bahamian events and folklore that have frequently been overlooked in visual media. Goombay Kids got catapulted in the spotlight after receiving 15 international awards from esteemed festivals with its unique and cultural show, including the Cannes World Film Festival and the Atlanta Children’s Film Festival.

The four seasons can be watched on streaming platforms such as ROKU Worldwide, Tubi, Kanopy, Hoopla and Samsung TV as well as coming soon to Amazon Prime. The brand continues to expand with recently diving into animated songs which was in part funded by UNESCO.

Goombay Kids has also been launching merchandise such as coloring books, Surprise Treasure Chests and Travel Packs, all available at various retailers including, The Craft Cottage, Logos Bookstore, Fab Finds, Jet Nassau Airlines, Hudson News at LPIA, Albany Emporium, Atlantis Resort, Bookworld and Stationers and more.

In support of its educational mission the production embarked on a project called, The Goombay Kids School Tour to introduce young students across the country to a screening of the locally-produced TV series.

Since the tour progressed, the show has successfully reached a number of schools including The Harmony Experience, St. Anne’s School, Palmdale Primary, King’s College, Blairwood Academy, Genesis Academy, Lyford Cay International School, The Homeschooling Association, King’s College, Kings Way Academy, Creative Christian Academy, Boost Academy.
