Tuesday was another big night in the association for Bahamians. This time, Bahamas National Team players Eric Gordon of the Phoenix Suns and Deandre Ayton of the Portland Trailblazers went off for their respective teams.

The Suns were in a dogfight for the entire game with the Kings going up with one minute left in the game. The Suns were able to put them away thanks to clutch shotmaking from Devin Booker, who had 25 points in the game. Kevin Durant had 28 to lead the Suns along with 11 rebounds.

Former Phoenix Sun Deandre Ayton also had a great game for his Portland Trailblazers. The 7’1” center from New Providence scored 22 points on an otherworldly 11-12 shooting along with 16 rebounds and the Blazers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-109.

The Blazers didn’t stand a chance as the Wolves’ Anthony Edwards was a man-possessed, battling through knee soreness to score 41 points on 16 of 27 shooting.

The loss is the Blazers’ 5th straight, but they’ll have a chance to win tomorrow when they take on the Wolves again. Gordon and the Suns will play the Detroit Pistons tonight then they’ll have a long layoff for the All-Star break.
