GUYANA – Police in Guyana have destroyed three marijuana plantations along the Berbice River this week.

The farms collectively measured at approximately seven acres and contained about 60,000 plants.

Police say the marijuana has an estimated street value of approximately $45 million Guyanese dollars or about $215,000 U.S.

Back in February, 10 acres of marijuana were destroyed. The drugs had an estimated street value of $430,000 U.S. dollars.
