NASSAU, BAHAMAS- The Bahamas will make history this November, hosting the CARIFTA Artistic Gymnastics Championships for the first time since the competition was established in 2024.

The three-day championships will take place November 13 through 15 at the Sir Kendal G. L. Isaacs Gymnasium, bringing together gymnasts and delegations from across the Caribbean.

Team Bahamas will look to build on two consecutive third-place finishes at the championships, including an improved performance in 2025, when the team doubled its medal haul from the inaugural event to finish with 44 medals.

The Gymnastics Federation of The Bahamas says more than 200 competitive gymnasts are now involved in the sport locally, with four affiliated clubs operating across New Providence and Eleuthera.

Federation President Cora Hepburn described hosting the championships as a historic moment, while calling on the corporate community to support the event through title, gold and silver sponsorship partnerships.

The federation expects more than 500 regional visitors, providing an opportunity to promote youth development, grow the sport and strengthen the country’s sports tourism industry.

Ticketing details are expected to be announced at a later date.
