HAITI – Officers regained control of a police station in Gressier, Haiti, which had been targeted by armed gangs, authorities said Monday.

The station, in Port-Au-Prince’s western tip, was attacked on Sunday, killing an unknown number of civilians and burning houses, according to a police union spokesperson.

This attack follows the arrival of hundreds of kenyan police officers in haiti to combat armed gangs.

Videos on social media showed armed men storming the station, railing against Haiti’s government and the Kenyan officers, and setting fires.
