GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Grand Bahama getting an economic boost Thursday as the Heroic Concrete and Concrete Products broke ground on a new facility. The investment is worth $6.4 million dollars.

The company will be able to produce up to 1,700 concrete blocks daily and will operate at a site on Queens Highway.

Owner of Heroic is well known Grand Bahamian businesswoman Glennett Fowler.

She says some have asked why she thought it was best to open a concrete plant at this time.

While President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority Ian Rolle says the investment by the owners is an achievement.
