NASSAU, BAHAMAS – CARIFTA day 1 in full swing here are the latest updates we have on Team Bahamas.

Morning Session

🥇 Essence Sands placed first in the Heptathlon 100m Hurdles girls under 17 heat.

🥇 Kaden Cartwright placed first in the Under 20 Boys’ Javelin.

🥈 Trent Ford placed second in the 100m Hurdles boys under 17 heat.

🥉Terrell McCoy placed third in the under 17 girls Shot Put. 

Team Bahamas Wins 11 Medals in day one of CARIFTA Games!

Evening Session

🥇Kaden Cartwright won the first gold medal for Team Bahamas in Under 20 boys’ Javelin at the 2023 CARIFTA Games.

🥉Terrell McCoy’s won bronze in the Shot Put girls under 17 and winning the the second medal for Team Bahamas.

🥉Andrew Brown placed third in the 400m boys under 17 semi-finals.

🥈Ishmael Rolle won silver placed 2nd in the 100m boys under 17.

🥇Jamiah Nabbie placed first in 100m girls under 17.

🥈Lanaisha Lubin won the silver medal for Triple Jump girls under 20.

🥈 Carlos Brown won silver in the 100m boys under 20.

🥉Lacarthe Cooper placed third in the girls 400m Under 20.

🥈Javonya Valcourt placed second and in the girls 400m Under 20.

🥉Adam Musgrove won bronze in the 100m boys under 20.
