GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – An initial assessment of the damage left by tropical storm Nicole on Grand Bahama is now complete, leaving minimal destruction behind.

Ginger Moxey, Minister for Grand Bahama expressing relief that Grand Bahama was spared especially since the island is still feeling the impacts of hurricane Dorian three years ago.

Myles Laroda, Minister of State responsible for Disaster Management, says after assessing both Grand Bahama and Abaco, they will deal with each island’s individual needs.

As for power restoration on the island, Nikita Mullings, Chief Operating Officer at the Grand Bahama Power Company, says areas like east and west Grand Bahama are next on the list.
