NASSAU, BAHAMAS – His Excellency Chris Brown, now serving as an ambassador of sports for The Bahamas, and Head Track and Field Coach at Clayton State University in the Atlanta area, was in town for diplomatic week.

We had a chance to talk to the Olympic gold medallist about what he’s been up to and the state of sports in the country – elaborating on the work he’s doing to prepare the next generation of athletes.

Here is how Friday went in the association:

Deandre Ayton stepped up to help his LA Lakers pick up their first win of the season. They beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-110.

The big man from New Providence had 15 points on 7 of 11 shooting along with 8 rebounds and a block in the win.

Luka Dončić went off for the Lakers, dropping 49 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists in the win.

Anthony Edwards had 31 for the Wolves.

It was a rough night for Buddy Hield and the Golden State Warriors. They lost 139-119 to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Buddy didn’t make any of his two shots, and he finished with only two points.

Steph Curry had 35 points to lead the Dubs.

Deni Avidka had 26 points to lead the Blazers.
