NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Jamaican woman has been accused of forcing two women into prostitution.

Appolonia McClean-Smith, 36, was out on bail awaiting trial for human trafficking when prosecutors allege she reoffended.

She is accused of bringing the women, ages 28 and 35, into the country on February 18 to exploit them.

McClean-Smith, who’s married to a Bahamian, denied the charges when she appeared before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

She returns to court this week for a bail hearing.
