Chisholm Hits A Grand Slam for the Second Straight Day To Put the Marlins in Line for a Wild Card Slot

MIAMI, FLORIDA – Jazz Chisholm must have looked at yesterday’s performance and decided to do it again to make sure it wasn’t a fluke.

The Marlins’ star outfielder smacked a bases-loaded homer for the second consecutive night, becoming the first player in franchise history to do so as the Marlins routed the Atlanta Braves 16-2 to sweep their three-game series.

Jazz went 2-4 on the night with a single and 4 RBI. He also showed great plate discipline, walking three times.

The win puts the Marlins on pace for a wildcard slot, ousting the Cincinnati Reds, who lost to the Mets.

Ironically enough, the Marlins can solidify their place in the standings if they beat the Mets in their series which runs tomorrow through Wednesday.

If Billy can bring the brooms out again, we’ll see Jazz playing in October.
