Jazz, New York Yankees Clinch Postseason Berth

U.S.A. – New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 3-3 with three singles to help his Yankees pulled out a win over the Chicago White Sox Tuesday night. 

Jazz got the team on the board, scoring the game’s first run in the bottom of the second on a double by Austin Wells. 

But the Pope’s favorite team took a lead into the 9th inning, where the Yankees rallied back in dramatic fashion, with the big fella Aaron Judge showing off his wheels, beating the throw from center field off a Jose Caballero single to score the walk-off run.

With the win, they locked up the top wildcard slot in the American League, earning the right to go into the postseason.

Meanwhile, Antoan Richardson and the New York Mets kept their postseason hopes alive, getting a clutch 9-7 win over the Chicago Cubs. 

Shortstop Francisco Lindor and outfielder Brandon Nimmo, both going 2-5, both driving in 3 Runs, and both hitting home runs. 

Lindor got the party started, hitting a leadoff home run to score the game’s first run.

Nimmo’s clutch 3-run shot came in the top of the 5th inning to tie the game up 6-6.

Lindor drove in a run in the 6th to put the mets up 7-6, but the Cubs tied the game up. 

Francisco Alvarez got in on the action, smashing a 2-run home run in the 9th to give the mets the final lead.

Soccer

The Bahamas Football Association held a parent meeting for their center of excellence u15 girls’ program. 

In the session, they learnd about the program’s structure and logistics and their plans for the year, including probable travel matches. 

The federation has gone all-in on developing the girls’ game recently. 

Over the summer, they got in some valuable international competition, playing a slate of matches against the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

This upcoming year, they’re looking to continue to develop the girls so that they can take their games to another level.
