The Marlins Star String of Injuries Continue

Jazz Chisholm’s unfortunate streak of injuries continued yesterday.

The Marlins centerfielder was pulled from yesterday’s game against the Texas Rangers in the top of the third.

Jazz reached base on a two-out infield single that drove in Jorge Soler from third base to put the Marlins up 3-0.

A few minutes later he was caught stealing 2nd base. Coming up holding his hamstring.

When asked to comment on it, Jazz said that it was a minor cramp and that manager Skip Schumaker pulled him out of an abundance of caution rather than the actual injury.

He added that he fully expected to play on Sunday.

The Marlins probably could have used Jazz out there as they blew their 5-run lead thanks to a Rangers rally mounted the very next inning.

They would lose the game 9-8.

The Marlins play the Rangers again on Sunday. Look for Jazz to be back out patrolling centerfield.
