NEW YORK, USA – Jonquel Jones led the New York Liberty to a 90-85 win in overtime Tuesday night over the Washington Mystics to win their best-of-three first-round playoff series.

JJ dominated the paint on both ends of the court for New York, getting her 12th double-double with 19 points on 6 of 9 shooting, pulling down a beastly 14 rebounds and three blocks.

The Liberty would need everything she gave as the Mystics took them to the brink, forcing overtime.

Breanna Stewart led the liberty with 27 and nine and Betnijah Laney added 19 points.

CONCACAF Soccer

The Women’s National Soccer Team’s making their debut in the road to the women’s CONCACAF Gold Cup after a nearly three-decade hiatus from international play.

They’re seeing their first action in pool play against Grenada at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium here in New Providence.

Our girls also have a pair of home and away matches against the U.S. Virgin Islands.

If they can come out of their pool they’ll be on to elimination play.
