NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A verdict in the vehicular manslaughter trial of Raymond Forbes has been delayed.

Justice Renae McKay postponed her summation in the case after one of the jurors experienced a personal emergency, forcing proceedings to be adjourned.

Forbes is accused of causing the death of police inspector Tomas Mcintosh in a traffic accident on January 31st, 2024.

Prosecutors allege that inspector Mcintosh had stopped a vehicle along the Sir Milo Butler Highway when he was struck by a truck being driven by Forbes.

The trial is expected to resume once the court reconvenes.
